Responsibilities:
Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen and forward calls, providing information.
Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct them to specific destinations.
Hear complaints from customers and public then direct to correct department.
Start the process for various customer service requests including orders for initiation or disconnection of service, billing inquiries, and name and address changes.
Establish a positive relationship with the public through courteous, responsive, and professional assistance.
Provide information about establishment such as location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must use initiative to complete assignments.
Work is performed independently, with unusual problems or situations referred to the appropriate department.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar role - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures - Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, scanners, and fax machines - Proficient in using computer software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks - Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed - Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Job Type:
