com GENERAL DESCRIPTION The essential function of the position within the organization is to read meters so that the utility office may bill customer for water usage.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
This list represents the essential tasks performed by the position.
Employees may be assigned additional duties by management as required.
- Read water meters and enter readings into handheld device.
- Upload and download information from handheld device to utility office software so that utility bills can be processed.
- Re-read water meters for suspicious usage.
- Turn water meters off for non-payments.
- Install new water meters for new accounts.
- Pull water meters for miscellaneous reasons.
- Completes work order forms for meter repairs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Requires High School diploma, or GED.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Requires a valid driver's license.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Requires one year of related experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
