About the Position: McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP) was originally commissioned as the Naval Ammunition Depot McAlester on May 20, 1943 and began its first production in September 1943. In October 1977, the naval facility was transferred to the Army under the Single Manager for Conventional Ammunition Act. MCAAP is a government-owned/government-operated facility. Our operating hours are from 6:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. We are closed on federal holidays. The mission of MCAAP is to produce and renovate quality conventional missile ammunition and ammunition-related components, perform engineering and product assurance in support of production, and receive, store, ship, demilitarize and dispose of conventional and missile ammunition and related items.

This is a Term Position Not To Exceed 1 Year and 1 Day. This Position is Temporary and may extended up to a maximum of 4 years. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) Expenses are Not Authorized. Relocation (Government Home Sales) Expenses are NOT Authorized.
Assist IT Specialists with installation of computers, software, and hardware.
Assist IT Specialists in providing IT technical support.
Assist in troubleshooting computers and network connections.
Work directly with users/customers to ascertain their needs for IT related problems.
Compile data to produce or process various documents.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized Experience is defined as: Having experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in the Federal service which includes progressively responsible Computer and Information Technology (IT) support duties which include work that supported the Information Technology (IT) disciplines of Automation, Communications, Visual Information, and Records Management.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
Knowledge of Computer Processing Procedures.
Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) Principles, Concepts and Methods.
Skill in Customer Service.
Skill in Oral and Written Communication.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below:
Successfully completed 4 full years of education above the high school level. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.(Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification).
Combining Education and Experience: Have the specialized experience, but less than one year; and have more than 1 year, but less than 4 years of education. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement.(Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
