Ability to do the work of an CARPENTER SUPERVISOR without more than normal supervision. - Must possess the ability to give directions to a number of employees in accomplishing trades and labor work associated with the Carpentry duties. Must have experience planning workload; identifying resources, personnel, equipment and supplies; presenting briefings of safety and policy to personnel; determining training needs and arranging for those needs to be accomplished; establishing deadlines and priorities, and planning work assignments, providing technical direction and helping in accomplishing difficult work processes and procedures; applying general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense and accommodate all trades involved; and ensuring needed plans, materials, tools, and equipment are available - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Work requires standing, bending and walking and frequent handling of objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting objects over 40 pounds. All lifts over 50 pounds will be assisted with a two person lift or using a mechanical handling equipment lifting device. The two person lift limit is 100 pounds and will only be used for single event, non-routine lifts. Working Conditions:
Works in a well-lit, heated, ventilated shop with concrete floors. Exposed to dust from grinding, oil from machines, dirt, heat, noises and fumes. Subject to the hazards of burns from hot metal chips, dust in the lungs, cuts, bruises, injuries to hands from use of machine and hand tools, skin irritation from contact with coolants, lubricants and abrasive compounds, and to strains from infrequent moving, lifting and handling of heavy items. Wears safety glasses, safety shoes and other safety apparel and equipment as required. Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 3 years by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years, and may be made permanent without further competition.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
