Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to lead or supervise as a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic Leader. Must possess the ability to give directions to a number of employees in accomplishing trades and labor work associated with Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic duties and have passed on to other workers instructions received from a supervisor. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading)Ability To Lead or SuperviseAbility to plan and organize workAbility To Use and Maintain Tools and EquipmentKnowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)Trouble Shooting Physical Effort:
This positions requires frequent lifting of items weighing 45 pounds or more. Lifting devices such as hoist and slings are available in many of the work areas. Duties require stooping, bending, extended periods of standing on concrete or wooden floors. Incumbent is periodically required to climb ladders to perform wiring on vehicle(s). Working Conditions:
This position requiresduties to predominately be performed inside shop buildings, which are properly lighted, heated and ventilated. Incumbent is subjected to high noise levels and welding dangers.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
